Valencia Basket visits the always challenging court of MoraBanc Andorra
Valencia Basket men’s team faces their second away game of the week, visiting the MoraBanc Andorra court (Saturday 1st, 20:45h, Pavelló Toni Martí, Movistar+ Deportes) in a match of Round 19 of the Liga Endesa.
After extending their positive run with a hard-fought win in Slovenia, the team will play their first away game of the second half of the season on a court that has not been kind to them in recent encounters in Andorra.
Last season, they suffered a heavy defeat here to close the Regular Season. Additionally, they will face a tough opponent, as Andorra narrowly beat Valencia Basket 89-88 in the first half of the season with a game-winning shot by Jean Montero, who may return to the court for the first time since his standout performance last season, which earned him a spot in the Liga Endesa's Second Best Five.
While the historical head-to-head is perfectly balanced, Valencia Basket's recent trend in this venue is unfavorable: in their last six visits, they have recorded four losses and two wins by just one point.
With Jean Montero rejoining the team's training after missing Tuesday's game in Ljubljana due to an ankle sprain, the coach must make a technical decision about which of the thirteen available players to leave out. The long-term injured Ethan Happ is the only confirmed physical absence.
Valencia Basket begins this Round 19 in second place, part of a three-way tie at the top, with a 14-4 record.
